Remembering Chris Farley

I was just browsing around youtube this morning and came across some old Chris Farley clips. It's hard to believe it will be 10 years since he died in December. I can honestly say that he's by far the best physical comedian I've ever seen. Here's a few clips to bring back some memories. Matt Foley Clips Some Dancing Clips Impressions Fat guy in a little coat Outtakes And one I hadn't seen before playing Christian Laettner in the best play that ever was.

UFOPORNO! Yes...Alien Porn. Kinda.

Apparently, this is from a Finnish sketch comedy show named "Ranuan Kummit". Possibly NSFW, assuming you're not allowed to watch clothed dancing alien softcore porn while a narrator hollers in Finnish.

It's just like, it's just like, a mini...mall

Hot damn if this isn't the best advertisement I've ever seen. Just watching it makes me want to buy a sofa. In case you didn't catch it, his store is located in Montgomery.

[OSF] I wanna know where da GOL' at! (Leprechaun, leprechaun)

So, these people in Mobile, Alabama think they've seen a leprechaun in their neighborhood. Some huge black guy has an Irish great-great grandfather that gave him a special leprechaun flute. Or, it "Could be a crackhead, got hol' ta tha wrong stuff. And it told him to climb up in a tree and act like a leprechaun." My favorite part, "who all seen the leprechaun say yeaaaaay" - the look he gives the camera after that is priceless. Yes, there's a rap remix. CLASSIC. Kick it, Mr. T! The same song above, but with a hilarious video starring little people dressed as leprechauns Another rap remix. I like the other one better. BUBB RUBB makes a comeback, remixed into the leprechaun video This one is so big, it's got a Wikipedia entry. And a nice little aside... he WPMI-TV news story featured an amateur sketch of the creature. Upon realizing the sudden fame of their story, the staff of WPMI-TV conducted an auction for the sketch on eBay, which garnered $1100 [Wikipedia]

[OSF] The price is wrong, Bitch!

This isn't totally old school for old school friday, but the clip at the beginning is. This is definitely up there with movie moments I could have never predicted. Sweet old Bob Barker kicking the shit out of Adam Sandler. I haven't watched The Price is Right for a while now, with having to work for the man and all. Nevertheless it's still odd to think about daytime TV without Bob Barker.

Video Games turn 40 today

May 15th marks the 40 year anniversary of the first games hooked up to the television. An article on the 1up site tells the story of Ralph Baer, Bill Harrison, and Bill Rusch working at the Sanders Associates company on a little game called Pong. They go into a great deal of detail on the development of the console, going so far as to include a number of the group's original notes on the project. [1up.com] via [Slashdot]

Slamball Yolanda...is the new Bubb Rubb?

Yolanda has been the 'star of the show in the bleachers'. Listen to what she has to say about Slamball. Is she the new Bubb Rubb? (more)

[OSF] Bubb Rubb says: The Whistles go WOOOOO

Alright, so last week Old School Friday [OSF] kind of...fell apart. Mostly because my computer decided to do the same. But, here at work, Scally and I are running 8-Track Tuesdays (yes, we have an 8 track player, and yes, about 100 8-tracks...the Stones are on right now). So, I'll make up for it now, while I'm in an old school mood. This week's classic: Bubb Rubb and Lil' Sis and their whistle tips. This one was passed around for a while, then fell off for a few years, and came back with a vengeance this year. So, here it is, along with multiple remix versions. Freaking classics. My favorite part of the video, besides the whole thing, is at the end when he completely blows the stop sign and almost crashes (and you can't even barely hear his whistler tips anyway). ORIGINAL: REMIX: TECHNO REMIX: LUDACRIS REMIX: Who could forget Kailey? AND! A Bubb Rubb documentary/interview thing Chillin' at the Mansion: This is a short trailer for Bubb Rubb's DVD. I was gonna skip this one, but I love Prefuse 73, so I'll include it...entertaining, but not as funny as the other ones.

Heroes Spinoff

Heroes is launching a new series to tide watchers over till the new season starts. The new show has been ordered for six episodes, and will introduce a completely new set of characters. The coolest part: In an effort to make the show interactive (and, I'm guessing, to squash what is going to be some griping by "Heroes" fans who are unhappy that the original show won't return in September), NBC will ask fans to vote on which is the new characters is their favorite, and that character will then become a regular cast member on the original series. Also in the article is information about a few of NBC's other shows including Scrubs, The Office and My Name Is Earl. [Read]

QVC hits new low

I actually feel dumber after watching this video. Was anyone else's first thought "damn they look just like the predator"?

Barney vs Tupac - Hit 'Em Up

Another oldie but goodie - the dancing kids make this video. I think Fridays will now become Old School Friday from now on, so for any 'classics' like this, you're just going to have to wait until then. Or Saturday if that's when I remember. Anyway...until then...(NSFW language, which you already knew if you have any idea who Tupac is)

Sesame Streets

This is another old one but I couldn't help posting it just in case any hasn't seen it before or just wants to see it again. NSFW language.

Unnecessary Censorship

These are always funny as hell...

Under Armor Employee's LOVE them some baseball

NSFW language I can't believe this doesn't happen more often with all the live video shots from crowds at sporting events.
